Whether you’re after a high priority, committed information rate (CIR) or a best-efforts, prescribed information rate (PIR), Vital Access provides flexible, competitive bitstream equivalent services all the way to 100Gbps.
Vital Access 2.
Vital Access 2 is our entry-level, best-efforts service with a committed information rate of 2.5Mbps.
Vital Access 3.
Vital Access 3 offers a prescribed information rate (PIR) service with a variable committed information rate of up to 100Mbps.
Vital Access 4.
Vital Access 4 is our committed information rate (CIR) only service for customers that require guaranteed information rates.
DARK fibre.
FibreLink.
FibreLink is our highly flexible dark fibre service available in Wellington and in parts of Auckland’s CBD.
What is dark fibre?
At a high level, dark fibre is simply a leased piece of fibre that stretches from A to B. We don’t run any services over our customers’ dark fibre connections, so customers have complete control over how it is used. This makes it perfect for high bandwidths, secure networking, or transmitting non-ethernet signals.

The OSP Team.
By having our own team working on our fibre network, we can oversee our fibre installs from start to finish and offer quick turnaround times – making it easy to join the Vital Fibre Network. Our OSP Team documents the intricacies of each fibre installation, talks customers through the install process, and monitors the signal quality, continuity, and condition of our fibre optic cable installations.
The Vital NOC.
The team in our Wellington-based Network Operations Centre monitor our networks 24/7 to identify network issues in real-time. The NOC works with teams across Vital to prevent outages, provide updates and deliver fixes for our customers.
